DATE: Saturday 21st May 2022, 10am to 5pm
Calligraphy is a wonderful and incredibly satisfying skill to learn. Whether you’re planning to create greeting cards, personalise a gift or just looking to learn a new hobby, this beginner-level workshop will equip you with the skills, tools, and confidence you need to get started. You don’t need to have pretty handwriting, and it doesn’t matter which hand you write with. The workshop allow participants to enhance their artistic flair and technical skills while unwinding and learning something new through an original, fun, and creative session.
Places limited.
Please bring: two same grade pencils, eraser, ruler and any chosen paper and card.
Tutor: Oona Tully
Oona is a professional calligrapher and graphic designer with 34 years of artistic lettering practice in Ireland, UK and Kenya.
She qualified in 2000 with a Diploma in Calligraphy and is a winner of the RDS National Craft Competition, 1995, and the Dancing Letters Scholarship, USA in 2014. She works mainly to commission for national and international clients and has provided calligraphy services to the United Nations , government institutions, county councils, corporations, design agencies as well as private clients. She hosts workshops and regularly demonstrates live calligraphy at corporate events.

Created in gouache paint, Sumi ink and gold on Fabriano Artistico 300gsm paper.
Mount and framed to a finished size of 40cm wide by 50cm high.
